Is It Over Yet???? :(

I am very impatiently awaiting the day that I can say goodbye to my little lovelies as the nice bright yellow taxis take them away from me!! So, here are my last two weeks in review:

*one of my little lovelies kicks another student because he was annoying him
* the same little lovely decided to take the same student by the shirt and tell him he's going to rip his face off
* the principal decides to tell my little bully that she is telling the parents of the other child to press charges if he does it again
* lovely #2 decides that he is going to tell people that he has demons inside of him
* lovely # 3 decides that he's going to call another classmate a Mother F'er and a fag!

Ahhhh.... can you tell I need summer vaca... like pronto?

New Roof

We're FINALLY getting a new roof next week!! Yipeeeee!!! The estimate today was for the exact same type of shingles and all the extra fixings as the last estimate we got. Today's estimate was $3800 and the other estimate was almost $7000. Plus, the guy that's doing it is repairing our gutters for FREE!!! Man, we finally got a break! ROCK!

Frustrated!

Wow... I seem to be unpopular with everyone who is having kids lately. I literally have had like 4 friends in the past 1-2 weeks who have had a kid (or their wife). When I tell them their kid is cute, they seem like they're all offended because I don't say their child is the most beautiful baby on the face of the Earth. I am not trying to be rude and hateful. Your child is cute, gorgeous... all of those wonderful words. But, please remember, I HAVE MY OWN CHILD who I think is the most gorgeous kid in the universe. I know you're not going to agree with me because you SHOULDN'T agree with me. You should think your kid is the most beautiful child in the universe. And, I know not everyone thinks my kid is absolutely gorgeous. So what. She's mine, and I think she's gorgeous. I don't care what anyone else thinks. And, when I don't tell you that your child is the most beautiful kid on the face of the Earth because I don't think they are, please don't make it a competition between your kid and mine, and try to make it seem like my kid isn't great or isn't as good as yours. That really ticks me off. I'm not saying your child isn't wonderful, beautiful, amazing, etc. It's just that, in my opinion, my kid is the best there is, and that's how it should be. If I didn't think my child was more beautiful than yours, there is something majorly wrong with me because I created her, I carried her for 9 months, I had her removed from my body, I have had bite marks to prove that she's mine. Soo.... sorry if I've stepped on anyone's toes, but I'm not going to think your child is the most beautiful kid ever, not now, not in the future, not EVER. End of story.

Week 1 ~ so so!!

I have to start out by admitting that my first week on Weight Watchers wasn't as wonderful as I wanted it to be. I was really dreading going to the meeting tonight because I just knew that I was going to either not lose anything, or I was going to gain some weight. This week was just crazy hectic, and I didn't write down everything how I should have, and I didn't drink all of my water. Needless to say, I ended up losing 2.2lbs. For now, I will take what I can get. However, this has lit a fire under my booty to do better next week, and have an even bigger weight loss than 2.2lbs!! :o) Stay tuned for next week's results!

God's Hand

There are many times when I wonder if God's hand is really guiding me and protecting me and my family. Well, I know His hand was protecting my family tonight. We were driving to take a car I have to use for work back to the location the work cars are kept. I was behind my husband and child, and we merged onto the highway. As soon as we merge, we have to immediately get in the left lane to make a left hand turn in order to get down into where my part time job is. As my husband was merging, he didn't see the car speeding along in the left hand lane, and he cut her off.... like MAJORLY cut her off. She was literally about 3 inches from smacking him down the entire left side of our car. If that wouldn't have been bad enough, our car isn't brand new, so the baby can't sit in the middle now that she's in a forward facing carseat. She's on the LEFT hand side behind her Daddy, and she probably would have been hurt quite badly guessing by the speed the woman was traveling. Then, there was me driving behind watching all of this happen almost having a heart attack because my husband almost side swiped someone in his blind spot. Talk about SCARY!!! Needless to say, I definitely saw God's hand protecting my two loves tonight!! Thank you, God for protecting them!

Simply Amazing

I look at her, and thank God for her so many times during the day. She is my ray of sunshine on the cloudiest day, and is the reason for the happiness in my heart. I love being a mother, and I love this little girl more than I ever thought possible!

Life Changes

Well, I joined Weight Watchers tonight. I got on that scale, and almost had a heart attack on the spot due to the numbers that popped up. Wow... I really let myself get to this point? How stupid am I?? It disappoints me so much. I am always saying that I cannot stand how I look, and I don't do anything about it. Now that I have a child, I want to be 100% healthy for her. I want to run around with her, and not have to worry about having heart problems due to being overweight. I already have goals set, and plan to keep them. I'm starting HARD CORE tomorrow. If I won't do it for myself, I need to do it for my daughter! My husband is also on board to help me, and encourage me when I get down! I'll post my weight loss success on here (maybe)!

Crayola Colored Dog....

We have been trying to engage the kiddo's brain a lot more lately. She catches on to stuff so quickly, and we want to see what all we can get her to do. One of the pamphlets we got from her 1 yr. visit to the pediatrician encouraged coloring as a "brain stimulating" activity to do with a 12-18 month old. Therefore, we headed to Wal-Mart, got a box of Big Crayons, and a cute little coloring book. Morgan has enjoyed coloring, and we have two pictures so far.

Now for the fun stuff. After we got home from school today I took the dog out because my husband was tending to Morgan. As I'm walking the dog around the yard, he goes to do his business, and I see a blue log come out of his posterior. I stood there wondering if what I saw was really true. Could my dog really take a blue crap? Then I got to wondering what the heck he ingested to make his poo such a
bright colored blue (this was it, but a little more muted but not much ). After watching the whole experience, and still being completely puzzled, I went inside and told Adam what I had just witnessed. That's when I found out that our lovely little pooch decided to make a snack out of Morgan's blue crayon.

The moral of this story is that: Crayola crayons are good for at least 3 things

1) they make pretty pictures for Mommy to hang on the fridge, and stimulate baby's brain
2) they make a tasty snack for little dogs
3) they make pretty colored dog poo.... some colors I wouldn't mind having on my lawn besides the little brown piles that reside there now... except for the nice new blue pile that was added today!

My Boy Rocks!

As you saw from my last two posts, I've had an insane/cruddy week. It continued in that pattern throughout the rest of the week, and I'm so glad it's Friday. Today, my boy had a simple, yet awesome and much appreciated surprise for me.

Each year, our fourth grade team goes to an outdoor museum that is kinda like Williamsburg, VA. It shows colonial life, and farms from the different countries that settled in Virginia in the 1600s. Usually we get a grant to go, and we get a charter bus plus the kids only have to pay like $20.00 each to go. This year, we weren't fortunate enough to get the grant, so we have to wait until next year to take the trip again (It's also a 3 hour drive from our house, and many of the kids don't get to leave our town, and they think it's sooo cool to go that far away). Personally, it's my favorite field trip we take. At the gift shop, they have the most AMAZING fudge, and I commented to my husband a couple of weeks ago that I was bummed because I wasn't getting any of this amazing fudge. When I say amazing, I mean better than my grandmother's fudge amazing. And that is saying A LOT because nobody's cooking can even come close to holding a candle to my Gram's.

Today, my boy got to go up near the museum to support one of his really brainiac kids in a Geography competition. He called and told me he had a simple, but big surprise for me, so I was antsy all day long to see what it was. When he got back in to town, the kiddo and I met him for dinner, then we went to the car, and he got out a small bag. When I opened it, it had 3 kinds of my favorite fudge from the museum gift shop! I am one happy girl because I got my fudge, and when I'm in a cruddy mood I like to have something junky to munch on. He was definitely right, it was simple, but greatly appreciated.

Don't Get Pushy

As I mentioned in my Monday Rant in rant # 5, home ownership is getting annoying. Well, we decided to go look at dishwashers to replace said broken dishwasher. As we're walking around Lowe's, we found a couple of models that we really liked. Our appliances now are black or black and tanish; so I wanted a black dishwasher, and am hoping to get a black stove and fridge later on. Like I said, we were walking around Lowe's just LOOKING to get an idea as to how much this sucker was going to cost us. A gentleman comes up, and asks us what we want. We explain, show him the model we both agreed upon, and ask if it comes in black. We were planning on getting prices, then were going to go and look at the other appliance stores in town. One of them has a payment plan that we were hoping to take advantage of. Mr. Pushy Pants had another idea. He comes back, tells my husband and I that they ORDERED our new BLACK DISHWASHER and it would be in and installed in 2 weeks. Not once did my husband or myself tell him we were PURCHASING a dishwasher today. We now have a brand new black dishwasher coming to the store, then getting installed at our house around April 18th or so. A brand new dishwasher that we had no clue we were buying today!!
